Note: Do not complete a storyline adventure when you meet the requirement and the pop-up asks you to complete or continue. You'll need to complete some soon to move forward anyway, so just attack the adventures and push each for Favor before completing and moving to the next one. Variants have more restrictive rules for attempting/completing than the regular adventures, which is why you want to mostly ignore them when starting out.
